Car enthusiasts are generally some of the best people you will ever meet. I personally have always enjoyed going to car shows. It’s not just the sights and sounds that you’ll find there, but many times it’s the people you meet that make the trip so worthwhile. This site will hopefully help you find a great automotive event to check out, no matter where you are or what time of the year it is.

I grew up going to car shows with my dad. As a young kid I just couldn’t get enough of it. His influence on me made me passionate about cars. While my friends were excited about the usual science fiction and action themed cartoons and movies that most kids watched at that time – I was drawn to things like “The Dukes of Hazzard”, “Magnum PI”, “Cannonball Run”, and “Smokey & The Bandit”…mostly because of what the main characters were driving. The orange Dodge Charger, the red Ferrari 308, the black Lamborghini Countach, and the black Bandit Firebird were the stars of the show. They were what you were there to see. OK…and YES, seeing Daisy Duke wasn’t all that bad either.

At like 8 or 9 years old, I could identify other cars on the road at night by just glancing at their tail light configurations. I began to look for subtle details in older cars like the custom badging, the location and number of turn signal lenses on the body, the wheels, or the chrome packages and paint colors to try to tell the year that the car was released. It was clear that I was a car geek from an early age, and over the years it has only gotten worse.

If you suffer from similar automotive-based afflictions – then you’re in the right place. I sincerely hope that you enjoy this site. I also encourage you to help me keep this car show national database up to date as well. It’s a huge job finding and listing all of the car shows, race nights, poker runs, and swap meets that are out there – so please take a minute to send a link to your event. It’s totally free and we would be happy to list it here for you. You can always send videos or pics of your events as well and we would be happy to post those too.

God bless you, safe travels – and thanks for stopping by!
