Description

There is probably an alternate universe in which a devastatingly powerful German fastback, complete with all-wheel drive and a sumptuous interior, does not exist. The RS7, with its 621 horsepower, serves as a delightfully wild piece in a world filled with dour crossovers and sober electric vehicles.

The easiest way for an automaker to update a vehicle without breaking the bank is to fiddle with exterior trim options, colours, and wheels – which is exactly what Audi has done for this car in 2024. Matte grey now surrounds the likes of windows and outside mirror housings, while a raft of new wheel designs keep up with the Joneses. A carbon matte optics package is new, as are RS Design packages in blue or red. There are also two new colours in Grenadine Red and Ascari Blue.

Expect to get intimate with the fuel pumps at your local gasoline station since the RS7 is not likely to return much more than 14.2 L/100 km in combined city and highway driving conditions. In town, bank on roughly 16.9 L/100 km though highway commutes could see 11.0 L/100 km – if you manage to stay off of the loud pedal, which drivers of this thing understandably are not likely to do.

Features

The specific RS7 model has yet to be slammed into any IIHS barriers, though testers have turned their devices on the A7 with which this car shares a platform. In that iteration, it garnered a Top Safety Pick+ with accolades for all crash test measures including the tough small overlap exams.

As with some other pricey and scarce Audi models, Consumer Reports has yet to put the RS7 through its evaluation wringer. Looking to its platform mates, the A7 and S7, we find middle-of-the-road rankings for predicted reliability and predicted owner satisfaction – numbers at which CR arrived because they didn’t have sufficient survey results from real world owners.

Your friends and colleagues will designate the RS7 as their whip of choice for any upcoming road trips, thanks to its typical-for-Audi top shelf materials and legions of amenities. RS Sport seats in Valcona leather cosset the driver and front passenger, while 4-zone climate controls ensure even back seat riders get what they desire. An expansive MMI interface loads up on digital real estate while an improved ambient lighting package entertains the proletariat.

Comments of seller

Large and in charge, the RS7 measures 5,009 millimetres (197.2 inches) long and 1,950 mm (76.8 inches) wide. Its overall height of 1,424 mm (56.0 inches) is borne from that tasty fastback profile along with some RS suspension tweaks. Cargo space is an impressive 19 cubic feet, a by-product of the practical yet stylish roofline.
